FAQ
For
errors report, comments, suggestions and any
question that is NOT
in this FAQ:
Who is the creator
of Mail
Resender?
This program has been made by Caulfield. But it has been possible thank
to JoePC's help, and to collaboration of the betatesters of
Asian
Movies, as well as people who reports program errors and suggest
improvements.
Is Mail Resender
compatible with JoePC's Reenvia?
Yes, in the way that the
same
encoded keys can be used in both programs. However, encoding a key
with Mail Resender you have the chance to make it compatible
with Reenvia
or not. If not, the encoded key will be stronger.
Compatible keys have the format [[...]]
Mail Resender keys have the format [[=...]]
Is it necessary to write
the full mail in "Source Account"
(user@server.com), or "user" is
enough?
If you want to connect to an
own account, writing username it's enough, but in "Key" field you must
write original key.
If it's not an own account, you must write the source account as its
owner indicated.
When trying to connect, it
reports me
"Connection
Failured. Wrong Username/Password". Why?
Because of one of these reasons:
- You have written username or password incorrectly (most probably)
- Server saturation
- Account doesn't exist
When trying to connect, it
reports me
"Connection
Failured. <urlopen error (11001, 'getaddrinfo
failed')>". Why?
Because you are behind a
proxy. If your proxy does NOT need authentication, Mail
Resender offers proxy support configuring Options.
Ir reports
me Username/Password error in all accounts.
What
can I do?
If you can't conect to any account, or only to your personal
accounts, try these solutions:
- Reset your router
- Check and/or close conflictive programs: antivirus,
firewall, p2p or p2m programs...
- Move the program to another directory and/or partition
Why is "Fast listing" an
option?
Traditional listing is perfect...
but slow.
Fast listing is not perfect; maybe some filenames are read incorrectly.
The "Intelligent scan of extensions" option solves most of these cases,
but not all cases. If you see some file is wrong, you can always list
the files deactivating "Fast listing", and you will be able to send
files correctly.
How can I use multisend?
In "Destiny Accounts" field you must write desired mails separated by
commas.
What are "Clean Trash" and
"Clean Sent" for? Are dangerous?
If an account is full, you won't be able to send files. You can free
some space with these two options to avoid possible sending errors.
Clean the trash is not dangerous. Clean sent files either, because the
program will only remove those files that are NOT shared with the
inbox. One file is shared when has been sent from one account to the
same account (like uploading files with GSpace extension).
While resending process, it
stops and
reports
me "Sending Error". Why?
Because one of these reasons:
- The source account is full. You must clean Trash and/or Sent files
with the corresponding button.
- Error "sr". Saturation. Give it time before try again (minutes or
hours)
- Unknown error. Normally, if you try to send again, it will send
remaining files without troubles.
Some resent files are
missing in destiny account,
or
some files are repeated. Why?
Sometimes the files take more or less time to arrive.
If one file is repeated, it's because the server reports
to Mail Resender
as file not sent, and the program try again a number of times indicated
in Options.
It's a false server error, that costs additional sendings.
"Retries system" is useful to manage real errors, and normally 1 retry
will be enough (then it will save "sending errors" during the resending
process).
What is database for?
For manage own and other's people accounts. And you can associate an
image to each record to see the content of the
accounts
easily.
How to make it work under
Linux?
This program is no directly
compatible with Linux, but you can make it work using Wine. You can find a
tutorial in Tutorials
section .
I can't access to accounts
with keys encoded
in third party programs, why?
It may be due to a
protection option in Windows. Go to "Control Panel -> System
-> Advanced Options -> Performance ->
Configuration -> Data Execution Prevention (DEP)".
Only if second option is enabled, add "Mail Resender.exe",
"MainComm.exe" and "MailComm.exe" to the list.
